Important Message about Heating System
We want to make you aware that Thursday afternoon we discovered a crack in the boiler that heats much of our building. Our maintenance crews will be working from now through the weekend to make repairs and we're hopeful that heat can be restored and ready for school Monday. However tomorrow, Friday, November 21, some of the building will be without heat. Please have your students wear extra layers so they stay comfortable wherever they are in the building. We'll be taking extra steps at school as well. As always, if you have questions don't hesitate to contact us at the school.
Willard North has had a busy 3 day week of learning. We kicked off our Willard North Reading Initiative, called S.T.A.R. (Super Tigers Actively Reading). S.T.A.R is aimed at providing students with reading instruction focused on their specific level. S.T.A.R time is every day from 1:40-2:40.
Teachers and students have also been working very hard on getting ready different pieces of art for the first
Willard North Art Walk. This will be held Monday night at 6:30and parents, grandparents, and friends can come out and have a chance to look at and bid on different pieces of art. There will also be cookies and hot apple cider to enjoy!

CHRISTMAS ON THE FRISCO
Saturday, November 22nd, 2014
Willard North Elementary will once again be working to help out families this holiday season. If your family is in need of a little extra assistance this Christmas, please contact the school counselor before Tuesday, November 25, about filling out a Holiday Application. Or, if your family or organization would be interested in donating items to help Willard families, your generosity would be appreciated.
